Julius is a retired tax partner and regional tax leader for the Philadelphia tax services group at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP. With nearly thirty years of experience working with tax-exempt organizations, Julius provides consultation on tax compliance and consulting matters that impact the firm’s not-for-profit, healthcare, senior living, higher education, membership organization, social clubs and private foundation clients. His expertise includes merger transactions, due diligence, private inurement, deferred compensation, unrelated business income, obtaining and protecting exempt status, business income tax, sales and use tax and employment tax issues. Julius retired from Baker Tilly in June 2019. He is currently a part time Business Fellow with the Villanova School of Business Department of Accountancy. Prior to joining the firm, Julius spent 11 years with two international accounting firms and 12 years with two major universities.
